Introduction

The Clevo N150SD is the entry-level 15” model from Clevo, replacing the older W355SS (which I reviewed here). It’s clearly taken some design cues from the Clevo P650SE/SG series, and shares the exact same keyboard.

This model was purchased from Eurocom. You can find images and the full list of specifications here. This model has now been replaced by the Shark 5 (Skylake model).

Since the resellers have all but confirmed the pricing and availability of these machines, I've decided to create an owner's lounge.

15.6" FHD standard screen
Processor: 2630QM Standard
GPU: NVIDIA GT555M w/ Optimus
RAM: No info so far

Availability and Pricing: Early May, about $70 to $100 more expensive than the stock NP5160, so....about $800 - $850. The NP5175 is listed on XOTICPC as $949 stock.

Who's excited about this? I know I am :D

The Sager NP9390 laptops based on the Clevo P375SM and P370SM models have been officially announced.

UPDATE 07/02/2013

There is an EC/BIOS fix coming to turn off the touchpad, speaker bar lights, and each third of the keyboard lighting.

New backlight keyboard / volume bar / touchpad Hot Key functions: (Sager NP8250, NP8290, NP9390)

Fn+ - : Volume bar On/Off.
Fn+ pad 7 : keyboard Left Section On/Off.
Fn+ pad 8 : keyboard Middle Section...

Just wanted to start a thread for this particular model.

I recently bought mine from Sager.

Mostly happy with it, except experiencing some touchpad lag.

Also disappointed it doesn't have a backlit keyboard. So I'm thinking about swapping it out for one that has LED lights. But I haven't been able to find anyone discussing this.

One Gpu fan not spinning

I recently replaced my 980Ms. From that point on, one of my Gpu fans doesn't spin. I replaced the motherboard, 2 Gpu fans and one Gpu heatsink. Before I switch the cards I need to know if there is anything in the card itself that controls the fans. Any help appreciated.

P370EM Windows 8 not detecting RAID 0 Hard Drive

I just got my new Clevo and I'm giving my old P370EM to a friend. I just reformatted the hard drive and now I'm trying to install Windows 8 but it's not detecting the Hard Drive. It asks me for drivers without telling me what the drivers are for . I worked out it was the RAID0 drivers when I noticed the disk isn't listed. The RAID and Hard Drive appear fine as they are working on the boot disk I used to format the hard drive in the first place. The disk is set to GPT and I'm booting in...
